El primero de año, alguien me comentaba:» anoche, viendo las campanadas, no me cabía en la cabeza que la gente tuviera ganas de decir feliz año nuevo, tal y como están las cosas»: Y no se puede negar la realidad: falta de trabajo, precariedad laboral, incertidumbre con el gobierno, la cuestión económica – por el momento – no pinta muy bien , la escalada de tensión internacional, el terrible drama de la inmigración y que la escalada de las pateras que no cesa, los incendios devastadores de Australia, la violencia y agresiones sexuales… además de los problemas personales de cada uno, de las rupturas familiares, las enfermedades… Todo esto hace que el año nuevo se presente para muchos como algo oscuro y lleno de amenazas, en donde inevitablemente te tienes que meter sin saber si saldrás. De ahí que no se tengan ganas de decir «feliz año nuevo».
A esto le añadimos que esta semana hemos celebrado la semana de oración por la unidad de los cristianos, Sí es cierto: los cristianos no nos llevamos bien, pero nada bien y eso que somos un montón. Quizás cada vez seamos menos y el ejemplo de no reconciliación puede motivar a que más de uno coja la maleta y diga yo me bajo de este barco. Todos los años pedimos, con diferentes lemas, que la unidad sea una realidad, pero todos los años nos volvemos a quedar en buenas intenciones pero nada más que eso. Me queda el consuelo que el año que viene volveremos a rezar por una unidad que por el momento nunca se cumple. El lema de este año es nos mostraron una humanidad poco común, yo diría que mostramos una humanidad nada común para lo que somos y representamos.. Sin embargo quiero reivindicar y reivindico el grito de muchos estadios de fútbol que cuando su equipo va cuesta arriba y no responde a las expectativas que en un momento determinado se habían planteado para él, resuenan treinta mil gargantas a una sola voz: sí se puede. Y me uno a ese grito unánime. Y me uno, porque este fin de semana celebramos la infancia misionera. Las nuevas generaciones son las que tienen el testigo en su mano para que ese pábilo vacilante no se apague y sigua siendo esa luz en un mundo marcado muchas veces por la tiniebla de la ideología, del insulto, de la falta de respeto…..
Es curioso como Isaías anuncia la marcha de un pueblo que camina sin GPS, en la oscuridad, Jesús, al inicio de su vida pública, se instala en esos lugares donde la luz no es precisamente el lugar de residencia. Hoy en día nuestras nuevas generaciones han de ser las encargadas de llevar esa luz que nosotros les dejamos para que ellos se iluminen y que les hemos enseñado a que su autonomía sirva para no perderse en territorio tenebroso. Por eso, Jesús, sigue llamando por el nombre de todos y cada uno de nosotros, como lo hizo con Pedro, con Andrés… LLamó en el silencio de una orilla con el susurro de unas olas que probablemente acompasaban su trabajo. Hoy, pero en un mundo ruidoso, donde las nuevas tecnologías impiden el diálogo fluido, Jesús sigue llamándonos a todos y cada uno de nosotros. Seguro que somos incapaces de oír su llamada. Pero seguro que sigue resonando más que nunca que sí se puede. Ojalá que las nuevas generaciones, cual aficionados en un estadio, como misioneros que empiezan un comienzan, puedan seguir cantando que sí se puede y que Jesús sigue siendo luz que brilla y alumbra en la oscuridad.
